About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for strengthening existing partnerships and expanding market presence by developing new business opportunities. You will play a pivotal role in promoting wholesale travel products to retail travel agents and industry partners, driving revenue growth and brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with retail travel agents and key industry partners.
Identify and secure new business opportunities to expand market share.
Conduct product presentations, training sessions, and networking events.
Represent the company at trade shows, industry functions, and familiarisation trips.
Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional service and product delivery.
Maintain accurate records and reporting through CRM systems.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a Business Development or Sales role within the travel industry.
Background in wholesale travel or a strong understanding of the wholesale distribution model.
Established relationships with retail travel agents in South Australia or Western Australia.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and highly organised.
Ability to work independently and manage a regional territory effectively.
Willingness to travel within the assigned region as required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
